Trainings for Veterinary Practices and
Animal Care Providers
Today's clients expect more than high quality medical care from their veterinarians. They want to know that their veterinarians "care" as much as they "cure". Veterinary hospitals that understand and meet
the emotional (as well as medical) needs of their clients can be more successful.
Yet, most veterinarians, animal health technicians, and staff members have not been taught how to communicate effectively about emotional issues.
Dana Durrance provides this training.
Dana's trainings are a blend of lectures, audio-visual presentations, and,
most importantly, audience participation. Dana's approach is a realistic one free of complicated theory or rhetoric. Dana understands the veterinary
medical environment and is familiar with common daily experiences and interactions. Along with her veterinarian husband, Dana owns a veterinary practice. As a mental health professional, she directed the grief support and education program at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University.
The information gained from Dana's trainings can be used immediately. The skills taught are tested, proven techniques that have been used successfully with thousands of clients over the past twenty years.
